Your most frequently asked questions answered!
Can I do your color realism tattoo?
First and foremost, since I specialize in blackwork tattoos I probably won’t be the best artist for your full color tattoo. If you want a good color tattoo there are a lot of great color artists out there.
How do you book an appointment?
I do not book appointments via DM, text or phone call. I prefer to do everything via email for safety reasons. There is a form you can fill out in the “Request an Appointment” area that asks all the questions needed to schedule an appointment!
Please be sure to actually answer the questions there and to send your schedule! If I know which days do and don’t work for you, it will be easier for me to schedule your appointment.
Understand that I do not have same-day availability or even “this weekend” availability typically, so there may be a delay in my replies.
I emailed you 4 hours ago, why haven’t I heard back yet?
I prefer to book only 4 months at a time, that way if you happen to get sick (like from the pandemic we’ve been experiencing), your next appointment isn’t a year away. This also allows me to actually focus on designs for a chunk of time, so if you don’t hear from me, I might be working on projects and not focusing as much on the booking aspect.
Why do I have to leave a deposit?
I do take deposits. This is a non-refundable deposit that goes toward the total price of your tattoo. A lot of people take offense to being asked for a deposit, but imagine spending an entire day working on a project for someone just to get stood up by them. That deposit goes toward burritos to heal my heart after getting stood up, you cannot have it back.
As of 23 May, 2022 there will now be a $2 fee for anyone who chooses to add “purchase protection” to their non-refundable deposit. If you don’t pay this fee when submitting your deposit, it will be added to the final price of your tattoo.
My appointment is in 3 months, did you draw it yet?
I’m not able to send over multiple drafts of your design for months ahead of time. If it’s January and your appointment is in March, your design will be done in March. I don’t usually have time to skip the line with designs.
Typically what I do is at the scheduled appointment time, we can review your design together.
What happens if someone gets sick?
I am willing to reschedule your appointment without taking another deposit if you let me know that you’re unable to make it BEFORE your appointment time. If you contact me after your appointment time asking to reschedule, I am going to have to take another deposit. Obviously there are exceptions, but I can’t think of a single situation where I’ve cancelled something (with less than 24 hours notice) without having to pay a fee for that missed appointment.
